offer memberships and sale of affordable supplies.

receipt and can be used in your tax preparation.

  • Our mission is to take the mystery out of science and enable people to make more informed choices in their everyday lives.
  • We would like to educate more people around the world in the science, the fun and the art of plant science and how it is involved in everyday life choices.
  • Our non-profit business will focus on funding training and supplies for teachers, students, schools and community groups.
  • Initially we will seek out grant monies and donations to support plant tissue culture workshops and supplies for teachers and community groups.
  • Later we will develop other workshops relating to any plant science education.

Disclosure
The IRS requires a nonprofit company to maintain full disclosure to the public:  the three most recent filings of IRS form 990 and the application for exemption (Form 1023 with accompanying documentation including the articles of incorporation and the bylaws).   These are available via email by contacting  Carol Stiff at

History

Carol Stiff has been involved in plant tissue culture research and teaching since the 70's and has much experience in teaching plant tissue culture workshops.  KCET was formed to aid teachers and community groups who wanted to take these workshops, or other plant science workshops, but could not afford them.   The goal is to find grant funds to pay for the workshop and the take-home supplies.

Initially KCET will teach workshops on plant tissue culture in the home and classroom using the materials developed by Carol Stiff. Kits and supplies will be sold through the HTCG.   Future workshops will be developed to teach other areas of plant science.
